From the Heart

Katie's first book, From the Heart, is a compilation of poetry

for children. It includes fun stories with important moral

lessons.

	"Shoo, Goose! Shoo!" is a story about true beauty being within.
	"Shimmy, Shimmy" was inspired by my sister and my niece, Rebecca. It was written to invoke the reader to mimic the moves of the characters as Becca and her mother make up a dance on a rainy day.
	"The Race" is a story about achieving success through self-confidence.
	"The Lesson" is a story in the making since the 1990's. My father inspired me to transform the ideas into a formal written work. In the story, Maheem learns important principles of friendship and knowing what is truly important in life.
	"Gigit, the Frog" tells the story of a frog who was born different. Her special difference makes her unique and helps to save the day!
	"Summertime Fun" contemplates fun things to do during hot lazy summer days.
